Al-Tariq Jameel Johnson was the only child born to Geraldine Johnson (deceased) and father Leon Brown (deceased). Tariq attended public schools in Newark and East Orange, NJ. and Job Corp in Edison, New Jersey. Employed by RP Baking LLC, Harrison, NJ.
Al-Tariq had a multitude of talents. His passion for writing raps and poetry began at an incredibly young age, starting at the tender age of 11. Throughout his life, he made it a habit to always carry a notebook with him to jot down lyrics and ideas, which helped him on his lyrical skills. In addition to his writing and desire to learn music production later in life; he was also a member of a local musical rap group, where he was known by the stage name “Nonsense.”
His most cherished accomplishment was his daughter, Tajmeria Tiya CostaJohnson who lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was his primary motivation and the driving force behind his existence. His love for her was immeasurable and he considered her to be the ultimate purpose of his life.
Al-Tariq leaves to cherish his memory, his materal grandmother Mary Rivera, Aunt Safiyya Sharif and a host of family members and friends.
