Wazir Sim Roberts
Obituary
Wazir Roberts, son of Bobby Heyward and late Sim Saleem was born on February 10, 1976 in Newark, New Jersey. Wazir returned to Allah in his home Monday, May 8, 2023. Those who knew him will remember Wazir as a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and son.
He is survived by his wife Tawanna Roberts, daughters Tahkeya and Zahkiya Roberts, his mother Bobby Heyward, two brothers Quadir and Nadir Roberts, his late brother Omar Heyward, one brother-in-law Raynard Barnes and two sister-in-laws Shaniyyah Anderson and Tomekco Barnes and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Wazir met the love of his life Tawanna Roberts at Irvington High School where their chapters began. They later had two beautiful daughters and were married for 23 years. Wazir attended Essex County Community College where he studied a wide variety of subjects. His faith was a defining quality of Wazir Roberts. It is a trait shared by his wife , Tawanna Roberts, and one he instilled in his children Tahkeya and Zahkiya Roberts. For that they will always be grateful and pray to reunite one day in Paradise.
